Job Title: Casual Physiotherapist, Ambulatory Program

Baycrest is seeking a Casual Physiotherapist to join our Ambulatory Program team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality physiotherapy services to our patients.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments and develop individualized care plans for patients with complex geriatric, neurological, and musculoskeletal conditions.
  • Collaborate with the inter-professional team to implement patient-centered care plans and coordinate discharge planning.
  • Supervise and mentor physiotherapy students and assistants, ensuring they receive high-quality training and support.
  • Provide consultation and support to other healthcare professionals on the team, promoting a culture of collaboration and excellence.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest evidence-based practices and research, applying this knowledge to improve patient outcomes and program development.
Qualifications:
  • Licensure in good standing with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario.
  • Membership or eligibility for membership with the Canadian Physiotherapy Association (an asset).
  • Experience working with geriatric populations with multiple medical conditions and/or cognitive impairment (preferred).
  • Confirmed status as ADP authorizer required.
  • Expertise in clinical assessments of elderly clients.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, time management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient computer skills, including Meditech, MDS, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
