Salary: $42.27 - $52.81 per hour

About the Role:

We are looking for a compassionate and empathetic individual who is passionate about providing exceptional patient-centered care. As a Social Worker I (Acute Care), you will work closely with an interdisciplinary team to provide comprehensive assessments, develop treatment plans, and support patients and their families in coping with illness and rehabilitation.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychosocial assessments and develop treatment plans that address the unique needs of each patient
  • Provide supportive counseling services to patients and their families, addressing issues related to illness, adjustment, and personal concerns
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless coordination of care and facilitate access to community resources
  • Develop and implement group programs using evidence-based practices to promote mental health and well-being
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and departmental policies

Requirements:

  • Masters degree in Social Work from an approved school of Social Work
  • Current registration with the BC College of Social Workers
  • Minimum 2 years of recent clinical experience in acute care settings
