About the Role

Svante is a leading clean energy technology company dedicated to making commercial-scale carbon capture and removal a reality. As a Senior Plant Process Engineer, you will play a critical role in developing, designing, commissioning, testing, and optimizing carbon capture gas processing plants for various industrial applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and design carbon capture gas processing plants for industrial applications
  • Support early engagements and technical discussions with potential customers
  • Responsible for all project-related basic process engineering deliverables of Svante's licensing technology package
  • Prepare basis of Design document, including design standards, site conditions, available utilities, emission and waste streams limitations, and overall performance requirements for the carbon capture system
  • Design greenfield gas processing plants, monitor modifications and upgrades, and troubleshoot existing process designs
  • Apply principles of mass, momentum, and heat transfer to process and equipment design
  • Perform process hazard and operability analysis (HAZOP), and assess the safety and environmental impact of the plant
  • Perform techno-economic analysis (TEA) and evaluate the capital and operational cost of projects during the pre-construction phase
Requirements
  • Minimum of years of experience in development, design, and operations of chemical processes
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering
  • Proficient in the use of the Microsoft Office suite and process simulation software (Hysys and Aspen)
  • Strong technical background with process knowledge of gas processing and steam generation systems
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to make sound recommendations
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with solvent-based CO2 capture plants using Selective Chemical Absorption Solvents and Thermal Kinetic Optimization process or relevant experience in gas separation processing or gas power plants
  • Strong technical background with process knowledge of CO2 capture technologies
