Senior Procurement Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Procurement Specialist to join our team at Canadian National Railway. As a key member of our Procurement and Supply Management department, you will play a critical role in developing and executing innovative procurement strategies that drive sustainable enterprise value.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement procurement category strategies to achieve cost reduction targets and improve supplier performance.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their needs and promote value creation.
- Conduct data analytics to inform sourcing decisions and drive business outcomes.
- Negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure favorable terms and conditions.
- Lead contracts, supplier relationships, and supplier performance to ensure compliance with procurement policy.
- Participate in department-wide projects to drive process improvements and enhance operational excellence.
- 4-5 years of experience in a similar role.
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, Law, or equivalent.
- Strong negotiation and analytical skills, with the ability to drive complex negotiations and present data-driven insights to stakeholders.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Knowledge of strategic sourcing best practices, contract management, and supplier performance principles.
