Senior Procurement Specialist

The Senior Procurement Specialist will be a key member of the Supply Management team at CBC/Radio-Canada, reporting directly to the Director of Sourcing. This role will involve collaborating with various components and teams across the organization, as well as external third parties, to drive strategic sourcing and procurement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute strategic sourcing plans to drive cost savings and operational efficiencies.
- Lead assigned activities for process improvement, systems, and best practices.
- Support the communication of the vision within the team and with Components, while building and maintaining strong relationships.
- Contribute to enhancing tools and work with the team to improve procurement processes.
- Partner effectively with internal business units to drive procurement initiatives.
- 4+ years of sourcing experience, with a strong background in strategic sourcing and procurement.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field, with an MBA or Master's degree being an asset.
- SCMA (PMAC) certification (SCMP or CPP) or equivalent would be considered an asset.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
- Leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate with components and the sourcing team.
- General business skills, business acumen, and negotiation savvy.
- Strong knowledge of sourcing and procurement principles and best practices.
- Strategic mindset and problem-solving skills.
- Change management aptitude.
- Bilingual (French and English) at a proficient level for commercial negotiation and contract drafting.
