At Retirement Concepts, we are committed to providing exceptional care to our residents. We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Home Support Worker to join our team at Nanaimo Seniors Village.

As a Home Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing holistic and quality care to our residents. You will be responsible for assisting with daily living activities, such as bathing, grooming, and dressing, as well as providing medication assistance and responding to call bell alarms.

Our ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to resident-centered care and a passion for working with seniors. You will be a team player who is able to work collaboratively with our clinical team to ensure the best possible outcomes for our residents.

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing personal care and assistance with daily living activities
  • Assisting with medication administration and responding to call bell alarms
  • Observing and monitoring resident progress and reporting significant observations
  • Encouraging resident participation in social, physical, spiritual, and recreational activities
  • Maintaining an up-to-date knowledge of community policies and procedures

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Graduate from a recognized Care Aide Program
  • Active registration with the British Columbia Care Aide & Community Health Worker Registry
  • Valid First Aid Level 1 certification and current CPR
  • Medication Administration Certification required
  • Previous experience in a care community preferred
