Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing ultrasound procedures to aid in patient diagnosis and treatment, while maintaining high-quality imaging and adhering to hospital policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform ultrasound procedures in accordance with departmental standards
  • Facilitate optimal patient care by observing and understanding hospital and departmental policies and procedures
  • Adhere to hospital mission and value statements while maintaining patient confidentiality
  • Provide radiologists with high-quality imaging and accurate preliminary technical impressions
  • Perform other duties related to the job classification as required

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited program in ultrasound technology
  • Registration with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists in Ontario (CMRITO) required
  • ARDMS (CRGS) certification in abdomen and obstetrics/gynecology with preference given to those who are also RVT (CRVS) or eligibility for registration with ARDMS (CRGS) within six months of the date of hire
  • Recent experience in related area of responsibility required
  • Able to perform breast imaging is an asset
  • Experience in general abdominal, obstetrics/gynecology, paediatric, vascular, and musculoskeletal an asset
  • Experience in ultrasound special procedures i.e. biopsies, an asset
  • FMF NT certification an asset
  • Membership with Sonography Canada an asset
  • Proven skill in the production of high-quality ultrasound images
  • Team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills

Additional Information

Hours: Currently Days/Evenings/Nights, 8 hour shifts including weekends and statutory holidays (subject to change in accordance with operational requirements)
