Diagnostic Imaging Specialist

Island Health is seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team at Port Hardy Hospital. As a Sonography Professional, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services to our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and monitor supplies and equipment for diagnostic imaging procedures.
- Monitor patients during imaging procedures and ensure their safety and comfort.
- Operate ultrasound equipment, including preparing and presenting patient data to radiologists.
- Graduation from an approved Ultrasound Technologist diploma program.
- Sonography Canada and/or American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) certification credentials as a Generalist Sonographer and one year of recent, related experience in a healthcare setting (or equivalent).
- Eligible for registration with Sonography Canada.
