We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cook to join our team at 3280608 Nova Scotia Limited. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals and individual dishes, as well as supervising kitchen staff and helpers.
Key Responsibilities- Food Preparation and Cooking: Prepare and cook complete meals and individual dishes, ensuring high-quality standards and presentation.
- Kitchen Supervision: Supervise kitchen staff and helpers, providing guidance and training as needed.
- Inventory Management: Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment, ensuring efficient use and minimizing waste.
- Cleanliness and Safety: Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Teamwork: Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation and high-quality service.
- Experience: Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Skills: Excellent cooking skills, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure.
- Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required, but relevant training or certification an asset.
- Work Environment: Fast-paced kitchen environment, physically demanding, and requiring overtime.
- Language: English language proficiency required.
