Kitchen Manager

We are seeking a skilled Kitchen Supervisor to join our team at First Sight Coffee & Bar. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our food service.
Key Responsibilities:- Supervise and Coordinate Kitchen Staff: Lead and train a team of kitchen staff to prepare and portion food, ensuring high-quality dishes are served to our customers.
- Food Safety and Quality Control: Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, adhering to food safety standards and ensuring that all food meets our quality control standards.
- Inventory Management: Requisition food and kitchen supplies, estimate ingredient and supply requirements, and maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.
- Customer Service: Address customer complaints or concerns, providing excellent service and ensuring a positive dining experience.
- Team Management: Hire and train food service staff, including kitchen and food service helpers, and supervise food service counter attendants and food preparers.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a kitchen or food service environment.
- Certifications: First Aid Certificate, Food Safety Certificate, and Safe Food Handling certificate.
- Work Setting: Cafeteria, food service establishment, coffee shop, on-site customer service, and restaurant.
- Hours of Work: 15 to 40 hours bi-weekly.
