Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Department Manager to lead our Starbucks department within our store. As a key member of our retail team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the department, ensuring sales and profitability goals are met, and developing and training department colleagues.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Department Operations: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Starbucks department, including managing inventory, coordinating with other departments, and maintaining a clean and safe environment for customers and colleagues.
  2. Sales and Profitability: Ensure the department meets or exceeds sales and profitability goals, and develop strategies to drive growth and improvement.
  3. Colleague Development: Train and develop department colleagues in customer service, product knowledge, and merchandising, and provide coaching and feedback to improve productivity and engagement.
  4. Leadership and Communication: Lead, coach, and motivate colleagues to improve productivity, engagement, and retention, and communicate regularly with store management and other department managers to ensure store-wide goals are being met.
Requirements
  1. Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  2. Experience: Previous retail management experience, preferably in a departmental or specialty store setting, is considered beneficial.
  3. Skills: Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, excellent organizational and time management skills, and ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
  4. Knowledge: Knowledge of retail operations, including merchandising, inventory management, and customer service, is considered beneficial.
