About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Janitorial Supervisor to join our team at RJS Building Maintenance Ltd./ RJS Carpet Cleaning. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of our cleaning staff and ensuring that our facilities are maintained to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Hire and Train Staff: Recruit, train, and develop a team of cleaning staff to ensure they have the skills and knowledge required to perform their duties effectively.
  • Supervise and Coordinate Activities: Oversee the daily activities of our cleaning staff, ensuring that tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard.
  • Inspect Sites and Facilities: Conduct regular site inspections to ensure that our facilities are clean, safe, and well-maintained.
  • Prepare Budgets and Cost Estimates: Develop and manage budgets and cost estimates for cleaning supplies and services.
  • Recommend Additional Services: Identify opportunities to improve our cleaning services and recommend additional services such as painting, repair work, or renovations.
  • Assist Cleaners: Provide support and guidance to our cleaning staff as needed.
  • Coordinate with Other Departments: Work closely with other departments to ensure that our cleaning services are integrated with other operational activities.
  • Maintain Inventory: Manage the inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a supervisory or management role.
  • Work Setting: Willing to relocate and work in various locations.
  • Security and Safety: Basic security clearance.
  • Personal Suitability: Client focus, dependability, efficient interpersonal skills, flexibility, initiative, judgement, and reliability.
  • Workplace Information: On the road job, work term: permanent, work language: English, hours: 30 to 40 hours per week.
