Specialty Foods Artisan

We are seeking a skilled Specialty Foods Artisan to join our team at SPICE ENROUTE INC. as a Pastry Chef and Baker. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and baking a variety of specialty foods, including bread, pastries, and desserts.
Key Responsibilities- Recipe Preparation: Prepare dough for pies, bread, rolls, and sweet goods, as well as batters for muffins, cookies, and cakes, according to recipes or special customer orders.
- Pastry Preparation: Prepare pastry for special occasions, such as weddings and birthdays.
- Inventory Management: Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed.
- Baking and Decorating: Bake mixed dough and batters, and frost and decorate cakes and baked goods.
- Staff Training: Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food.
- Special Orders: Prepare special orders as requested by customers.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
This is a permanent position with a work language of English and a work term of 35 to 44 hours per week.
