Job Title: Long Haul Truck Driver

ROYCE LOGISTICS LTD is seeking a skilled Long Haul Truck Driver to join our team. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods across the country.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and adjust routes to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions
  • Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy
  • Oversee the condition of the vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment
  • Perform brake adjustments and emergency roadside repairs
  • Conduct pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections and oversee all aspects of the vehicle
  • Perform preventive maintenance and receive and relay information to central dispatch
  • Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption
  • Tarping and ensuring the safety and security of cargo
Requirements:
  • Driver's License (Class 1 or A)
  • Valid passport
  • Drug test
  • Experience an asset
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle a large workload
  • Physically demanding and repetitive tasks
  • Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
Work Environment:

As a Long Haul Truck Driver, you will be working in a fast-paced environment with a large workload. You will be required to work long hours, including nights and weekends, and be away from home for extended periods.
