Job Title: Back Office Representative

Scotiabank is seeking a highly skilled Back Office Representative to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth execution of trades and providing exceptional client service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Execute trades on behalf of clients, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Provide prompt and professional service to clients, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to identify and resolve system issues, ensuring seamless trade execution.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, identifying opportunities to grow their business with Scotiabank.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry developments and regulatory requirements, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
Requirements:
  • 2+ years of industry experience, preferably in a trade execution or client service role.
  • Fluency in French, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently, with a focus on delivering exceptional client service.
  • Ability to adapt to a changing environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
  • College Diploma/University Degree, preferably in a related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • CSC and CPH designations, with a strong understanding of securities settlement procedures.
  • IIROC licensed as an IR and DFOL (Derivative Fund Options License).
