Job Title: Back Office Representative

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Back Office Representative to join our team at Scotiabank. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth execution of trades and providing exceptional client service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Execute trades on behalf of clients, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Provide prompt and professional service to clients, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to identify and capitalize on business development opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and preferences.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and regulatory requirements, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
Requirements:
  • 2+ years of industry experience, preferably in a trade execution or client service role.
  • Fluency in French, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
  • Ability to set and achieve goals, with a focus on delivering exceptional client service.
  • Knowledge of back office functionalities and securities settlement procedures.
  • College Diploma/University Degree, preferably in a related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • CSC and CPH certifications.
  • IIROC licensed as an IR and DFOL (Derivative Fund Options License).

Pursuant to a language needs assessment conducted by Scotiabank, the successful candidate will be required to communicate in English in addition to French.
