Work Design and Compensation Advisor

Fraser Health is seeking a highly skilled Work Design and Compensation Advisor to join our team in Surrey, B.C. As a key member of our Work Design and Compensation team, you will play a critical role in supporting the development and implementation of classification and compensation strategies that align with our organization's vision and values.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with clients to prepare job descriptions, organizational structure development, grievance review and response, project coordination, and related industry initiatives and research activities.
- Assist with responses to Union objections to job descriptions or HEABC queries, by researching appropriate response based on requirements of classification system.
- Provide support and participate in Compensation & Classification projects, preparing and maintaining project tracking documentation, training materials, statistical information and reports.
- Conduct research, benchmarking and compensation/market/industry surveys, compiling data, analyzing and summarizing information, preparing reports, presentations and briefing notes.
- Prepare detailed costing and statistical analysis related to compensation administration, grievance negotiations and settlement/award payments, collective bargaining, redesign initiatives and service transfers.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Journalism/Communications, English, Psychology or related field.
- Minimum of three years of demonstrated work experience in a large and complex organization, including experience working in a unionized environment.
- Proficiency in the use of a computer and applicable software applications.
- Practical knowledge of collective agreement language related to compensation and classification.
- Strong analytical and research abilities to support Compensation & Classification initiatives.
