At The Toronto-Dominion Bank (Canada), we are seeking a seasoned Senior Cybersecurity Specialist to lead our Incident Response Team. As a key member of our Threat Defense Operations, you will play a critical role in mitigating risks and protecting our organization from cyber threats.

About this Role:

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Senior Cybersecurity Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for leading complex cybersecurity incidents, providing specialized expertise on cybersecurity events and digital forensics, and supporting the growth and development of our team members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Guide partners through technology-related incidents, providing expert guidance and support.
  • Lead and manage cybersecurity incidents, ensuring swift containment and recovery.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of a global security management strategy and framework.
  • Ensure technology, processes, and governance are in place to monitor, detect, prevent, and react to emerging technology and security threats.
  • Develop operational enhancements for cybersecurity, including alerting, monitoring, and detection across multiple security domains.
  • Adhere to internal policies, procedures, technology control standards, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Contribute to the review of internal processes and activities, identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Influence behavior to reduce risk and foster a strong technology risk management culture.

Requirements:

  • University degree or equivalent hands-on work experience.
  • 7+ years of relevant experience in information security and incident management.
  • Expert knowledge of IT security and incident management practices across multiple cybersecurity domains.
  • Strong hands-on experience with traditional incident response detection tools, such as SIEM, EDR, XDR, Firewall, WAF, email proxies, NIDS, and equivalent.
  • Advanced hands-on experience in modern operating systems, including Windows, NIX, Cloud, and Mobile.
  • Advanced scripting skills, with the ability to read data structures and software binary code.
  • Strong communications, leadership, and people-building skills within Information Technology and/or Cybersecurity.
  • A demonstrated ability to participate in complex projects.
  • Ability to serve as a leading expert in technology controls and information security for project teams, the business, and external vendors.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience as an Incident Commander or Manager working on complex information security and cybercrime-related incidents.
  • Extensive experience working on cybersecurity events and incidents related to network layer 7/application and internet-facing attacks.
  • Extensive experience briefing Senior Executives on cybercrimes, information security incident triage, incident containment, and incident recovery.
  • Extensive experience authoring complex communications associated with cybercrime and information security incident triage, incident containment, and incident recovery.
  • Extensive experience authoring and maintaining electronic and operational playbooks, and other process/governance documentation.

Salary Range:

$91,200 - $136,800 CAD per year, plus commission-based earnings and local minimum wage pay.
