Job Summary

As a Derivatives Analyst/Associate in the Risk Management Group (RMG) at Royal Bank of Canada, you will play a key role in managing and pricing derivatives-related risks. You will work closely with the Quant team to maximize practical utilization of available functionality and contribute to the development of the team and RBC's expertise in derivatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Run on-desk processes related to pricing of derivatives and generation and management of XVA and MCAD risks
  • Run processes to aid in collateral optimization
  • Contribute to the strategic development of the desk through related project-based work
  • Improve the efficiency of the desk through improvements in tactical processes
  • Pricing of CVA, FVA, and KVA for all derivative asset classes in RBC's businesses globally
Requirements
  • A degree in a highly numerate discipline, such as engineering, science, mathematics, or economics
  • Knowledge of XVA and all aspects of derivative pricing, including related aspects of regulation (Basel III, etc.) in a front office context
  • Knowledge of collateral optimization in a front office context
  • Basic programming skills in Python, VBA, or similar
  • Experience with Bloomberg or other trading floor systems
