About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Plumber to join our team at ALPHA MSS CONTRACTING INC. as an Installation and Repair Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing domestic, commercial, and industrial plumbing systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Installation of Plumbing Systems: Install domestic, commercial, or industrial plumbing fixtures and systems, ensuring they meet the required specifications and codes.
  • Repair and Maintenance: Repair and maintain domestic, commercial, or industrial plumbing fixtures and systems, troubleshooting and resolving issues efficiently.
  • Design and Planning: Read blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout of plumbing systems, water supply networks, and waste and drainage systems.
  • Site Preparation: Locate and mark positions for pipe connections, passage holes, and fixtures in walls and floors, ensuring accurate placement.
  • Material Estimation and Procurement: Estimate costs and materials required for projects, ensuring timely and cost-effective completion.
  • Pipe Fabrication and Installation: Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipes to the required shape and size, ensuring a seamless fit.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Work Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in plumbing installation and repair.
  • Work Environment: Confined spaces, wet/damp environments, and various locations, including construction sites.
  • Physical Demands: Physically demanding work, requiring the ability to work under pressure and lift heavy equipment.
  • Security and Safety: A criminal record check is required for this position.
  • Transportation: Own transportation and a vehicle are required for this role.
  • Tools and Equipment: Steel-toed safety boots and other necessary tools and equipment are provided.
  • Teamwork and Communication: Excellent teamwork and communication skills are essential for this role.
