About the Role:

This is a dynamic opportunity for an experienced security professional to join our team and contribute to maintaining a safe and secure work environment.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain excellent customer service standards when interacting with guests, colleagues, and site workers.
  • Access control/intrusion detection of site, accommodation, waterfront, and port area.
  • Monitor site activities, detect suspicious occurrences, and provide detailed written incident reports.
  • Conduct mobile and foot patrols of assigned areas.
  • Record daily activities, complete access and administrative forms, and issue or check site access badges.
  • Monitor access control, intrusion detection, and video surveillance systems.
  • Participate in emergency response dispatch and team communications via radio.

Required Qualifications:

  • Hold a valid British Columbia Security License.
  • Possess a valid FULL Class 5 Drivers License and an acceptable Driver's Abstract.
  • Be able to pass a Drug and Alcohol Test (SSRG will arrange).
  • Pass a criminal record check and credit check.
  • Demonstrate strong written and spoken English communication skills.
  • Show willingness to work day and night shifts, indoors or outdoors as required.
  • Be comfortable working in proximity to alcohol (responding to incidents in the site lounge).
