Logixx Security Inc. is a renowned organization that prioritizes customer satisfaction and safety. We are seeking a highly skilled Security Specialist to join our team in Vancouver, BC.

The estimated annual salary for this position is $43,840 - $46,080 based on 40 hours of work per week at $21-$22 per hour.

About the Role

We are looking for a dedicated professional who can create a world-class experience while ensuring a safe and secure environment for clients and customers. As a Security Specialist, you will be responsible for monitoring overall activity on the site, maintaining strict compliance with laws and company policies, and initiating investigations of security-related incidents.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and maintain a safe and secure environment on-site
  • Maintain strict compliance with laws and company policies regarding apprehensions, search and seizure, and preservation of evidence
  • Initiate investigations of security-related incidents
  • Operate in a professional, business-centered environment where customer service, confidentiality, and integrity are paramount
  • Assist emergency services or other officials during crisis situations
  • Perform other related duties and special project functions as assigned
  • Ensure the overall safety and protection of people, property, and equipment in retail stores
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A working knowledge of the National Use of Force Model and its application
  • Valid Use Of Force and Handcuffing certification
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to exercise superior knowledge of de-escalation and crisis intervention methods and tactics
  • Capacity to function in stressful environments and under pressure
  • High level of conflict resolution and problem-solving capabilities
  • Fluency in security industry standards and methods
  • Professional experience in people and conflict management with tact and discretion
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff and management
  • Excellent time-management, communication, incident report writing, and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated ability to be a dependable team player with business acumen and enthusiasm
  • Flexibility to work varied schedules, including weekends and holidays
  • Post-secondary education in law enforcement or a related field
