Assistant Professor in Integrative Organismal Biology Position

We are seeking an exceptional candidate for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Integrative Organismal Biology at The University of British Columbia. The successful candidate will have a strong research program in any area of animal biology that complements our existing faculty strengths in Comparative Animal Physiology and Biomechanics.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct innovative and integrative research in animal biology, with a focus on mechanistic approaches.
- Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in integrative animal biology, with a focus on developing teaching excellence.
- Mentor and supervise graduate and undergraduate students, with a focus on developing their research and teaching skills.
- Contribute to the development of the Department of Zoology, with a focus on promoting equity, diversity, and inclusion.
- Ph.D. degree in a related field.
- Demonstrated research record and evidence of capability for teaching in the area of integrative animal biology.
- Evidence of potential to establish and conduct an internationally competitive and externally funded research program.
- Postdoctoral experience is preferred.
- A competitive salary within the range of $125,000 - $160,000.
