Role Overview

We are seeking a Data Scientist, Decisions to join our Rider & Safety Science team. As a key member of this team, you will work in a dynamic environment where we prioritize innovation and collaboration. Your role will involve leveraging data and analytical thinking to shape critical business decisions and drive growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Leverage data and statistical models to identify opportunities for growth and efficiency improvement
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, marketers, designers, and operators, to translate data insights into actionable decisions
  • Design and analyze online experiments; communicate results and make informed launch decisions
  • Develop data-driven frameworks to monitor business and product performance

Requirements:

  • Degree in a quantitative field, such as statistics, economics, or engineering, or relevant work experience
  • 3+ years of industry experience in a data science or analytics role
  • Proficiency in SQL and programming languages, especially Python or R, for data manipulation and visualization
  • Experience in online experimentation and statistical analysis
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional partners

Compensation and Benefits

The estimated annual salary for this position is $120,000 - $160,000, depending on location and experience. Additionally, Lyft offers a comprehensive benefits package, including extended health and dental coverage options, mental health benefits, family building benefits, access to a Health Care Savings Account, and paid time off. Additional Information

This role will be based in-office on a hybrid schedule, with three days of in-office work per week and flexibility to work from home up to four weeks per year.
