Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Mental Health Clinician to join our team at the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority. As a Mental Health Clinician, you will provide treatment services to children and their families in a community-based setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide individual, group, and family therapy to children and their families.
  • Conduct clinical assessments and develop treatment plans.
  • Work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team to provide comprehensive care.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community-based organizations, child welfare, health, and educational systems.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years' experience working with children, youth, and families.
  • Experience and training in treatment models related to developmental trauma and/or attachment.
  • Experience and training in group treatments with parents and children, DBT, CBT are assets.
  • Experience working with diverse cultural groups including First Nations and Newcomers is desirable.

Education and Certification

  • Qualified as a Psychiatric Nurse, Occupational Therapist, Clinical Social Worker (MSW), Family Therapist (MFT), or equivalent.

Working Conditions

This position requires a current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check and Adult Abuse Registry Check as conditions of employment.
