We are seeking a highly skilled Landscaping Supervisor to join our team at Meridian Landscaping and Maintenance Ltd. As a key member of our landscaping crew, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, coordination, and execution of various landscape projects.

Job Summary:

  • To provide supervision and leadership to a small team of landscaping staff, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • To plan and coordinate the growth and use of plants for landscaping, ornamental uses, and other purposes.
  • To assess the health of lawns and diagnose problems with trees and shrubs.
  • To apply fertilizers, fungicides, herbicides, pesticides, and other lawn care products as necessary.
  • To trim trees to achieve the desired pruning objective.
  • To examine trees and shrubs to diagnose problems and disease.
  • To plan and estimate labour and materials for projects.
  • To establish work schedules and procedures.
  • To co-ordinate activities with other work units or departments.

Salary

The salary for this position is $70,000 per year, plus benefits.

Job Description

This is a full-time position, requiring the ability to work 40 hours per week. The ideal candidate will have experience in landscaping, horticulture, or a related field, and will possess excellent communication and leadership skills.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • 2 years of experience in landscaping or a related field.
  • Valid driver's license and own vehicle.
  • Ability to lift heavy loads and work in physically demanding environments.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
