Job Summary:

Magna Exteriors is seeking a highly skilled Industrial Electrician to join our team in Vaughan. As an Industrial Electrician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment in our manufacturing facility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install and connect electrical wiring, conduit, and apparatus in buildings and on equipment
  • Diagnose and repair electrical and electronic components, including motors, transformers, and printed circuit boards
  • Test and troubleshoot electrical systems and equipment to identify and resolve issues
  • Plan and implement electrical system layouts and installations
  • Collaborate with maintenance and production teams to ensure smooth operation of electrical systems
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on electrical equipment, including presses and other machinery
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations, including WHMIS/GHS and IATF 16949 quality management standards

Requirements:

  • Industrial Trade certification as Industrial Electrician and/or PLC certification
  • Minimum 5 years hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment
  • PLC and programming experience
  • Ability to create, manipulate, and follow robot programs for ABB, Fanuc, and Panasonic
  • Mig, Stick, and Tig welding
  • Physically fit and able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Knowledge and understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic fundamentals and principles
  • Certification in one or more robot programming courses (ABB, Fanuc, Panasonic)
  • Experience with Labview is an asset
  • Experience with troubleshooting robots
  • Overhead crane license
  • Forklift license
  • Tier 1 automotive manufacturing experience

Working Conditions:

The Industrial Electrician will work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, with regular exposure to electrical systems, machinery, and equipment. The successful candidate will be physically fit and able to lift up to 50 lbs.
