Job Summary:
Magna Exteriors is seeking a highly skilled Industrial Electrician to join our team in a Manufacturing Specialist role. As an Industrial Electrician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment in our manufacturing facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install and connect electrical wiring, conduit, and apparatus in buildings and on equipment.
- Diagnose and repair electrical and electronic components, including motors, transformers, and printed circuit boards.
- Test and troubleshoot electrical systems and equipment to identify and resolve issues.
- Plan and implement electrical system layouts and installations to ensure safe and efficient operation.
- Collaborate with maintenance teams to ensure smooth operation of manufacturing equipment and processes.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on electrical systems and equipment to prevent downtime and ensure optimal performance.
- Develop and implement electrical safety procedures and protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments and advancements in electrical systems and technologies.
Requirements:
- Industrial Trade certification as Industrial Electrician and/or PLC certification.
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment.
- PLC and programming experience.
- Ability to create, manipulate, and follow robot programs for ABB, Fanuc, and Panasonic.
- Mig, Stick, and Tig welding skills.
- Physical fitness and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Knowledge and understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic fundamentals and principles.
- Certification in one or more robot programming courses (ABB, Fanuc, Panasonic).
- Experience with Labview is an asset.
- Experience with troubleshooting robots.
- Overhead crane license.
- Forklift license.
- Tier 1 automotive manufacturing experience.
