Key Responsibilities:

  • Install and connect electrical wiring, conduit, and apparatus in buildings and on equipment.
  • Diagnose and repair electrical and electronic components, including motors, transformers, and printed circuit boards.
  • Test and troubleshoot electrical systems and equipment to identify and resolve issues.
  • Plan and implement electrical system layouts and installations to ensure safe and efficient operation.
  • Collaborate with maintenance teams to ensure smooth operation of manufacturing equipment and processes.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on electrical systems and equipment to prevent downtime and ensure optimal performance.
  • Develop and implement electrical safety procedures and protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and advancements in electrical systems and technologies.

Requirements:

  • Industrial Electrician certification and/or PLC certification.
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • PLC and programming experience.
  • Ability to create, manipulate, and follow robot programs for ABB, Fanuc, and Panasonic.
  • Mig, Stick, and Tig welding skills.
  • Physical fitness and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Knowledge and understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic fundamentals and principles.
  • Certification in one or more robot programming courses (ABB, Fanuc, Panasonic).
  • Experience with Labview is an asset.
  • Experience with troubleshooting robots.
  • Overhead crane license.
  • Forklift license.
  • Tier 1 automotive manufacturing experience.

Working Conditions:

The Industrial Electrician will work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with exposure to electrical systems, machinery, and equipment. The ideal candidate will be physically fit and able to lift up to 50 lbs. Regular overtime may be required to meet production demands.
