As a Mental Health & Substance Use Intake Clinician, you will play a vital role in providing linkages between clients and appropriate resources, ensuring seamless transitions and supportive care.

About the Position

We are looking for a highly skilled professional with expertise in conducting intake functions, initial screenings, triage, and referrals. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of substance-use recovery services, health inequities, and discrimination faced by designated client populations. Additionally, they will possess knowledge of harm reduction principles, strengths-based approaches, Indigenous Cultural Safety, traditional healing practices, trauma-informed practice, and substance-use recovery models.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct intake functions for designated treatment programs to ensure effective linkages between clients and resources
  • Perform initial screening, triage, and referrals based on client needs, urgency of requests, and best practices
  • Provide information to healthcare providers and the public, establishing and enhancing relationships/communication within Vancouver Community and other community resources
  • Maintain accurate intake/referral data and statistics, participate in team meetings, and engage in ongoing quality improvement initiatives

The estimated annual salary for this position is $73,000-$96,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
