Substance Use Outreach Clinician

Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a skilled Substance Use Outreach Clinician to join our team at Powell River Mental Health in Powell River, BC.
Key Responsibilities- Provide outreach services to individuals with substance use and mental health presentations, using a strengths-based and inclusive approach.
- Support clients in achieving their goals, including detoxification, stabilization, treatment, and recovery programming.
- Offer harm reduction education, group facilitation, and case management to promote wellness and recovery.
- Establish and maintain relationships with clients, families, and community resources.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
- Participate in quality improvement activities, committees, and meetings to enhance service delivery.
Powell River is a scenic coastal town on the Sunshine Coast of British Columbia, offering a unique blend of outdoor adventure and cultural amenities.
Qualifications- Master's degree in a health science discipline from a recognized program.
- Two years' recent experience in community-based or Indigenous-led organizations working with individuals with substance use and mental health presentations.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel locally.
- Pursuant to Section 41 of the British Columbia Human Rights Code, preference will be given to candidates who identify as Indigenous.
