Job Title: Daycare Support Worker

Family and Children's Services Niagara is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Daycare Support Worker to join our team. As a key member of our childcare team, you will play a vital role in providing a safe and nurturing environment for children to thrive.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in maintaining a safe and healthy environment for children, including cleaning, sanitizing, and organizing play areas.
  • Support the implementation of developmentally appropriate educational programs for children, including planning and preparing activities, and engaging with children in play.
  • Assist with daily routines such as toileting, preparing and serving snacks and lunches, and ensuring children's overall well-being.
  • Recognize and respond to children's needs, including addressing behavioral issues and providing emotional support.
  • Collaborate with the Day Care Team Lead and other staff members to ensure the efficient operation of the program and achieve high-quality outcomes.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma
  • Experience working with children, youth, and families
  • Valid standard First Aid and CPR Certificate (preferred)
  • Valid G Driver's License and access to a reliable motor vehicle with appropriate liability insurance
