Culinary Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Culinary Specialist to join our team at Sunny Side Up. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for planning, preparing, and cooking complete meals and individual dishes for our customers.
Key Responsibilities- Menu Planning and Preparation: Plan menus and estimate food requirements to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
- Culinary Expertise: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods to the highest standards.
- Staff Training and Development: Train kitchen staff and helpers in preparation, cooking, and handling of food.
- Inventory Management: Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
- Cleanliness and Safety: Ensure a clean and safe kitchen environment for all staff and customers.
- Support for Newcomers and Refugees: Assist with immediate settlement needs and support social and labour market integration.
- Support for Youths: Offer on-the-job training and mentorship opportunities for youth.
- Support for Visible Minorities: Offer mentorship programs that pair members of visible minorities with experienced employees.
Requirements: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience, Secondary (high) school graduation certificate, and excellent culinary skills.
Work Details: Permanent work term, 40 hours per week, and English language.
