Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer for Water Treatment Systems to join our team at Veolia Water Technologies and Solutions, Canada. As an Associate Electrical - Instrument Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing electrical systems for water treatment facilities, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional project teams to discuss and implement electrical system designs.
- Read and process engineering documents, including P&IDs, GAs, process design guidelines, return of experience, and engineering best practices guides.
- Interpret and comment on contract and customer specifications.
- Design complete detailed electrical designs for water treatment facilities, including single line diagrams, load lists, I/O lists, network architectures, panel design, and schematics.
- Maintain budget, scope, and schedule, and proactively report risks and opportunities to project teams.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
- Understanding of hydraulics and fundamentals of fluid mechanics.
- Understanding of basic water chemistry.
- Experience with control systems, Programmable Logic Controllers, HMI, and SCADA design and programming.
- Basic technical knowledge in the field of industrial control systems.
- Understanding of Low Voltage Power Distribution System design.
- Professional Engineer or EIT designation.
