Job Description

As an Electrical Design Engineer at Zarpac, you will be responsible for creating full electrical design packages, including BOMs, schematics, assembly drawings, and layouts.

You will also check and validate final design documentation, parts lists, and drawings according to design and contract requirements.

In addition, you will prepare contractor and scope of work instructions, electrical layouts, and detailed drawings and schematics.

Your technical expertise will include interpreting technical specifications and application parameters, writing, testing, and commissioning PLC and HMI code.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • 7+ years of Electrical/Controls Engineering experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
  • Experience with low voltage power distribution and electrical panel designs (600V)
  • Experience with communications network design
  • PLC programming experience in Allen Bradley and/or Siemens PLCs
  • Experience with Factory Talk Studio or Wonderware
  • Experience with industrial robots (an asset)
  • Good knowledge of North American electrical standards for equipment manufacturing
