Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Export Controls Analyst to support our business units and Global Export Controls team. The successful candidate will be responsible for documenting, executing, and monitoring our export compliance program, ensuring compliance with regulatory agencies and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and maintain transactions under our comprehensive internal export controls program
- Review shipments and classification of hardware in ERP systems to ensure compliance with internal processes and regulatory requirements
- Review technology transfers for licensing requirements
- Ensure conformance to export requirements and company policy
- Perform classification of technologies and assign licenses in IT systems
- Review customer and supplier databases against sanctions lists
- Assist in the determination of export permits requirements and support the preparation of export permits submissions
- Support the review of IT systems for compliance with Canadian legal requirements
- Maintain records of all permitted exports
- Support quarterly export audits and reporting
- Conduct export compliance audits in IT systems
- Assist in the provision of trainings in support of our export controls training program
- Assist in the continuous improvement of export processes, procedures, and work instructions
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, law, or business, or college diploma in legal technique
- Experience in high-tech corporate environments
- Excellent command of English and French, both oral and written
- Highly proficient with IT systems, including Microsoft suite
- Experience in a legal and/or regulatory environment
- Eligibility to be nominated as a Designated Official under the Controlled Goods Program
