Dovre Group, Inc. is seeking an experienced Subsea Engineer-In-Training I, Projects to join our team.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the Subsea Engineering Team in ensuring compliance with processes and contract administration / stewardship.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Planning, implementation, and overseeing execution of IRM (Inspection, Repair and Maintenance) for subsea infrastructure and/or engineering support on subsea infrastructure including subsea umbilicals, risers, flowlines, tree and manifold systems.
  • Providing specialist technical knowledge for subsea equipment while managing engineering support with contracts group.
  • Planning WOs in SAP with known constraints (i.e. weather, materials etc.).
  • Planning ROV work and developing detailed execution procedures (including requirements for rigging, installation aids, tooling).
  • Supporting subsea equipment and execution work risk assessments.
  • Driving continuous improvement in performance and complying with OEMS standards.
  • Holding valid BST and occasionally participating in offshore activities as required on the offshore ROV vessel.
  • Managing actions associated with ROV inspection/intervention activity results (anomalies, field report reviews, remedial actions).
  • Providing technical support for the Vessel and Client Rep.
  • Developing and implementing annual subsea ROV-plan, including plans for facilities interventions.
  • Developing technical solutions & plans for resolving specific subsea issues to optimize Terra Nova production.
  • Driving continuous improvement in performance and complying with OEMS standards.
  • Supporting Subsea Manager in planning, prioritization & execution of work-scopes.
  • Ensuring all necessary parameters are measured/recorded to ensure integrity of field.
Requirements

Certification:

  • Valid certifications for offshore (e.g. East Coast Medical, Basic Survival Training (BST), Helicopter Underwater Escape Training (HUET), First Aid, Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHIMIS)).

Skills/Knowledge/Attributes:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering with minimum 10 years related oil & gas experience with preferred experience in subsea construction projects including Dive Support Vessels.
  • Sound knowledge and experiences of subsea engineering, particularly in SURF equipment (Subsea, Umbilical, Riser and Flowline), subsea trees, SCM (Subsea Control Module) Equipment.
  • Business management skills pertaining to project management, budgeting and stewardship.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability to manage and motivate external third parties, including consultants and sub-contractors, and support the interface with joint venture partners and regulatory bodies.
