Absence Management Specialist

As an Absence & Disability Management Specialist, you'll play a critical role in supporting our employees and managers in navigating the complexities of absence and disability management.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide expert guidance and support to employees, managers, and HR Business Partners on absence and disability-related matters.
- Administer and process extended leave requests, ensuring compliance with applicable legislation and company policies.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop and implement return-to-work plans that prioritize employee safety and well-being.
- Develop and maintain policies and procedures related to absence and disability management, ensuring alignment with company objectives and regulatory requirements.
- Partner with the HR Business Partners to design and deliver training programs on absence and disability management, ensuring internal compliance and identifying areas for improvement.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in absence and disability management in Canada, with a strong understanding of Canadian Human Rights Legislation.
- Exceptional customer service skills, with the ability to navigate complex situations and provide clear guidance to stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret insurance policies and regulatory requirements.
- Proficiency in Benefits Administration Platforms, Workday HCM, and ADP systems.
