Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Regional Sales Manager to join our team in Western Canada. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and growing our market share in the region, mentoring a team of sales professionals, and strengthening the sales, business, and technical knowledge of the regional sales team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Market Development: Interpret appropriate distribution for all Allegion brands to meet market demands and execute account rationalization to minimize channel conflict.
  • Business Planning: Partner with Director Sales to create, implement, and execute annual business plans.
  • Sales Leadership: Lead the sales team in accomplishing revenue, pricing, and expense goals.
  • Profitability Management: Manage profitability of brands while maximizing sales through controlled pricing.
  • Talent Development: Utilize sales and management background/experience to mentor, coach, and develop sales team members.
  • Relationship Building: Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external customers and Allegion team members.
  • Market Intelligence: Maintain excellent industry/territory knowledge by gathering market data of competitive activity.
  • Reporting: Provide comprehensive reports to Regional Vice President and Business Leaders as required.
  • Compliance: Maintain awareness of all Allegion policies, guidelines, and procedures and ensure compliance.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop local strategies to align with the Long-Range Plan (LRP) and drive the AOP sales plan.
  • Channel Management: Execute channel strategy and develop new channels for changing strategic needs.
  • SIOP Process: Responsible for Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SIOP) process and add local market intelligence to the demand forecast.
  • Distributor Management: Develop and maintain relationships with distributors, architects, and end users through demand creation activities and channel partner productivity programs.
  • Sales Funnel Management: Drive the use of the sales funnel process in CRM to track and capture both new construction and aftermarket opportunities.
  • Team Engagement: Continuous communication with team to ensure employee engagement in business initiatives, strategy, and overall direction.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in marketing, Business, or Technical field.
  • Experience: 7+ years sales experience including leadership background.
  • Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, demonstrated experience influencing others with a bias for action, strong customer focus, industry-specific experience preferred.
  • Travel: Must be willing and able to travel up to 75%.
  • Location: Must live within Alberta or British Columbia.
