Director of National Facilities and Sustainability

Job Summary
Cineplex is seeking a highly skilled Director of National Facilities and Sustainability to oversee the management of its facilities nationwide. This role focuses on leading and managing the facilities management team, ensuring sustainable practices are integrated into all aspects of facility operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Cineplex's sustainability strategy and programs, emphasizing facilities management and cost-saving initiatives.
- Research and implement operational programs targeting facilities management and efficiency improvements to achieve water reduction, energy efficiency, and waste reduction goals.
- Ensure corporate sustainability policies are regularly reviewed and integrated into facilities management practices.
- Participate in industry groups and expert panels to maintain Cineplex's leadership role in sustainability.
- Coordinate with Facilities to manage efficiency projects, such as building automation systems and power factor corrections.
- Develop and oversee a comprehensive seating strategy, optimizing the utilization of spare pool and managing the repair/replacement of the existing fleet of seats.
- Efficiently manage warehouse operations, including inventory management, procurement, and distribution logistics.
Requirements
- Post-secondary education in a relevant professional discipline or an equivalent combination of education and/or progressive experience in the field of sustainability.
- Proven experience in sustainability leadership, with a focus on facilities management and operational efficiency.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to lead and implement complex initiatives.
- In-depth knowledge of sustainability best practices, regulations, and industry standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external partners.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to develop and execute long-term sustainability plans.
- Experience managing budgets and financial resources effectively.
