Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Coordinator, IT to join our team at the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce. As a key member of our Direct Financial Services team, you will be responsible for providing support to technology management, project, and non-project team members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Portfolio Operations Support: Provide support to technology management, project, and non-project team members, including technology partners, vendors/suppliers, and business teams.
  • Financial Management: Support portfolio finance (projects, DOE) function, including financial reporting, compliance, and audit oversight.
  • Process Management: Identify, implement process improvements in consultation with the team, and support intake management.
  • Interpersonal Relationships: Support contract management and vendor relationship management, utilizing knowledge of approaches, tools, and techniques for working with individuals and groups in a constructive and collaborative manner.
  • Creative Thinking and Problem Solving: Support teams by having strong knowledge of CIBC governance and control plans, auditing, and compliance to comply with CIBC best practices.
Requirements
  • Experience: 1+ years in a comparable role with similar functions and accountability; 3+ years hands-on experience in various facets of project/portfolio management within PMO/BMO or Finance.
  • Education: Degree in Business, Technology, Engineering (any discipline), or equivalent.
  • Skills: Decision Making, Facilitation, Governance Models, Project Coordination, Project Finances, Project Management Life Cycle (PMLC), Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
