POSITION SUMMARY:
Solar Ship Inc. is in search of a remarkable individual to take on the role of Project Management Specialist. This position is a vital component of the Operations team, providing support to administrative, managerial, and technical staff. The role presents a unique opportunity to represent the organization while collaborating with a diverse array of individuals from various global backgrounds. The Project Management Specialist will report directly to the COO.The primary responsibilities revolve around business administration, with opportunities to initiate and collaborate on technical research projects and specific missions in various regions.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Facilitate team operations and manage scheduling tools Assist Human Resources (e.g. maintain HR records; prepare onboarding materials; oversee new employee integration) Procurement: oversee purchase request tracking; generate purchase orders and place orders; coordinate with the Bookkeeper to ensure invoices are accurately recorded and assigned project codes; collaborate with technical teams to ensure project codes are updated Provide assistance to the Bookkeeper, as necessary Develop and implement company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) General business administration tasks Initiate and conduct long-term technical research initiatives Coordinate youth engagement projects in various regions Research and maintain a database of funding opportunities; oversee proposal submissions REQUIRED SKILLS:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong research abilities Systems-oriented thinker Adaptable to changing circumstances Consistent quality of work Professional and composed demeanor Sensitivity in working with diverse personality types A sense of humor PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
