We are seeking a highly skilled Process Improvement Specialist to join our team at IWK Health.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading impactful change initiatives under our continuous improvement mandate. Leveraging LEAN and other methodologies, the Continuous Improvement Consultant will lead, organize, coordinate, and implement complex process improvement and change management plans.

Engaging with staff and physicians at every level, the System Optimization Expert will provide analytical expertise to identify problems and propose solutions to enhance IWK processes and patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead complex process improvement and change management initiatives
  • Develop and implement LEAN and other continuous improvement methodologies
  • Collaborate with staff and physicians to identify and address process gaps
  • Provide analytical expertise to inform process improvements
  • Develop and maintain process documentation and metrics
Requirements
  • Undergraduate degree in Health Services Administration, Health Information Management, Business Administration, or Industrial Engineering
  • Minimum three years' experience leading continuous improvement-related projects
  • Master's degree in a related field an asset
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) certification considered an asset
