Design Release Engineer

Job Summary:

V2Soft is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Design Release Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for the development and release of high-quality products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement product design and release processes to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of products.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve design and manufacturing issues.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to prevent future defects.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and release notes.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to internal stakeholders and external partners.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, Applied Physics, or equivalent from an ABET accredited university.
  • Minimum three years of engineering experience, with a focus on product development and release.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Basic understanding of propulsion system calibration and vehicle components.
  • Basic knowledge of gasoline engine operation.
  • Experience with hardware release process, DFMEA's, DVP's, and root cause analysis methodologies.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Master of Science in Applied Physics, Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, Industrial, or Computer Engineering, or related Engineering field from an ABET accredited university.
  • Additional experience in one or more of the following: Vehicle and engine control modules, designing components manufactured from plastic and metal stamping, and/or OEM experience with advanced quality tools such as a DFMEA, DVPR, function models, and/or NX CAD skills.
  • Experience releasing components at an OEM or Tier suppliers.
  • Experience with D FEA and flow analysis.
  • Green Belt in Design for Six Sigma methodology.
