Kitchen Manager Job Description

Tokyo Kitchen is seeking a skilled Kitchen Manager to oversee the daily operations of our restaurant. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring that our food and service meet the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen staff, ensuring that food is prepared and portioned efficiently.
  • Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage to optimize inventory and reduce waste.
  • Prepare and submit reports to management, highlighting areas for improvement and success.
  • Ensure that health and safety regulations are followed, and resolve any issues that may arise.

Requirements:

  • 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a restaurant setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work under pressure.
  • Flexibility and time management skills to adapt to changing circumstances.

Working Conditions:

  • Work under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Ability to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends.

Personal Suitability:

  • Efficient interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with staff and customers.
  • Excellent oral communication skills to effectively communicate with staff and management.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities.

Experience:

  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a similar role.
