Key Responsibilities
  • Develop effective work plans and supervise staff to ensure competency in work performance and understanding of financial reporting functions.
  • Oversee the development and submission of accurate and timely monthly consolidated financial statements to RBHS, including reportable activity from various Rutgers affiliates.
  • Update processes and procedures as needed due to changes in general ledger and financial reporting systems mandated by Rutgers University or the Rutgers Cancer Institute.
  • Direct the development of regular and ad hoc management reports by fund source, section, division, or disease group, including P&Ls, metrics, and dashboards to effectively manage the Rutgers Cancer Institute financial affairs.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field; plus four years of related experience in financial reporting and systems, preferably in a health care/academic environment.
  • Two years of experience in personnel supervision and ability to supervise in a unionized environment.

This position requires a fully on-site work arrangement and maintains confidentiality is required. The successful candidate must be computer literate with proficiency and working knowledge of financial database systems and reporting tools such as Microsoft Excel, Word, Access, and PowerPoint.
