Job Title: Youth Worker

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Youth Worker to join our team at 360°kids. As a Youth Worker, you will be responsible for providing mentorship and support to youth in our after-school program, promoting their social, emotional, and educational development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one mentorship and support to youth, helping them to set and achieve goals
  • Develop and implement life skills programming for youth, including workshops, cooking classes, and sports activities
  • Monitor and report on youth progress, identifying areas for improvement and developing strategies to support their growth
  • Collaborate with community partners to provide wraparound services and support to youth and their families
  • Participate in regular supervision meetings and performance appraisal meetings to ensure alignment with program goals and objectives

Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in a child/youth-related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum one year of experience working with at-risk youth and/or street-involved individuals
  • Strong personal ethics and integrity, as well as exceptional interpersonal skills
  • Effective communication and case management skills, with ability to work in a dynamic and complex environment
  • Current First Aid/CPR certification and vulnerable sector screening (criminal background check) are mandatory
