Job Summary

The Operations Labourer is responsible for safely and efficiently performing general labour duties at a hauling company, transfer station, recycling center, or landfill. Responsibilities may include:

  • Clean up work areas
  • Fuel vehicles and equipment
  • Perform yard work, including mowing and paper pick up
  • Operate general site vehicles and equipment
  • Perform general office maintenance and repairs
  • Install temporary wind fences, as required
  • Direct traffic at the site as necessary

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of landscaping and skilled use of landscaping equipment
  • Skilled use of hand and shop tools, and instruments
  • Demonstrates accuracy, thoroughness, and attention to detail
  • Must be able to prioritize, stay focused, and handle multiple, diverse responsibilities
