Job Title: General Labourer

We are seeking a skilled and motivated General Labourer to join our team at Custom Farm Service Inc. As a General Labourer, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to crop maintenance, farm equipment operation, and vineyard labour.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Apply the technique of hoeing between the row to maintain crop health and prevent weeds from growing.
  • Clear and collect brush and debris from fields, pens, and other work areas to ensure a safe and clean working environment.
  • Maintain and manage the growth of vines, vine canopy, and grapes to optimize crop yields and quality.
  • Plant, cultivate, and irrigate crops to ensure healthy growth and development.
  • Remove manually all suckers and water sprouts to promote healthy plant growth.
  • Tie and secure plants to prevent damage and promote healthy growth.
  • Weeding to prevent weeds from competing with crops for water and nutrients.
  • Harvest crops to ensure timely and efficient collection of produce.
  • Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment to ensure efficient and safe operation.
Requirements:
  • Will train on the job to ensure you have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform the tasks required of a General Labourer.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Physical stamina to perform manual labour tasks for extended periods.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
