Job Summary

eBrandon is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Inclusion Support Specialist to join our team. As an Inclusion Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting children with diverse needs, helping them thrive in our care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement Individualized Support Plans: Create and implement tailored support plans for children with special needs, ensuring their unique needs are met and they receive quality care and education.
  • Collaborate with Educational Teams: Work closely with teachers, caregivers, and other support staff to create inclusive classroom environments that promote learning and development.
  • Monitor and Assess Progress: Regularly monitor and assess the progress of children, adjusting support plans as needed to ensure they meet their full potential.
  • Communicate with Parents and Guardians: Maintain open and regular communication with parents and guardians, providing updates and support to ensure a collaborative approach to their child's care.
  • Create a Safe and Healthy Learning Environment: Establish and maintain a safe and healthy learning environment that promotes the physical, emotional, and social well-being of all children.
Requirements
  • Experience in Early Childhood Education or Special Education: Possess experience in early childhood education or special education, with a strong understanding of inclusive practices and child development.
  • Strong Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team.
  • Commitment to Promoting Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion: Be committed to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion, with a strong understanding of the importance of creating an inclusive environment for all children.
  • Knowledge of Provincial Best Practices Licensing Manual: Possess knowledge of the Provincial Best Practices Licensing Manual and be able to apply this knowledge in a practical setting.
  • Punctuality, Reliability, and a Positive Attitude: Demonstrate punctuality, reliability, and a positive attitude, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality care and education.
  • Adaptability and Excellent Organizational Skills: Possess adaptability and excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Familiarity with the Military Lifestyle (Asset): Possess familiarity with the military lifestyle, although this is not a requirement.
  • Current First Aid/CPR Certification: Hold current First Aid/CPR certification, with the ability to provide emergency care and support as needed.
  • Clear Criminal Record and Child Abuse Registry/Vulnerable Persons Check: Possess a clear criminal record and Child Abuse Registry/Vulnerable Persons check, with the ability to work with vulnerable populations.
